About the Plantation Shop
Located on Amelia Island, Florida…The Plantation Shop is a family - owned business that has been an Island Tradition since 1978 offering Antiques, Home Decor and Gifts. With a hands-on approach, we specialize in English and French Country antiques and antique smalls with a great selection of traditional and coastal home decor and gifts.
To maintain a carefully gathered selection of antiques, we travel to England 6-8 times a year to work with our English dealers and attend International antique fairs to ensure a fabulous selection of antiques and smalls while maintaining approachable pricing in everything we bring back from across the pond. We receive 6-7 new shipments of antiques each year as well as a great selection of home decor and gifts that arrive weekly and change with each season.
With two buildings nestled under the live oak trees on Amelia Island, we offer one unique shopping experience. For the past 46 years, we have built and maintained a wonderful in-store experience with the shop taking on a new look & feel with every new antique shipment that arrives and ever-changing home decor and gifts.
To complement our in-store experience, we maintain active Facebook and Instagram pages that keep our customers updated on what’s going on at The Plantation Shop, new inventory and antique shipment arrivals….and behind the scenes pictures when on our buying trips!
Meet the Owner
Wilson Tennille, Jr. is the second-generation owner of The Plantation Shop, located at Palmetto Walk Shopping Village. In its 46-years as a successful and iconic Amelia Island business, The Plantation Shop is considered one of the most unique shops in the Southeast, specializing in one-of-a-kind, hand-picked, English and French antiques.
Wilson makes trips to the UK 6-8 times a year, purchasing his carefully curated antiques from long time English dealers and international antique fairs. “Our inventory is always fresh and new,” states Wilson. Each time you walk into the Plantation Shop you’ll find something unique and different, whether you’re shopping for that one-of-a-kind antique, casual and costal home décor, or just need a quick gift - we have it all.
The Plantation Shop encompasses two buildings, beautifully decorated and designed by Wilson and his professional staff. “Between our long-time staff members creating a beautiful in-store experience and our social media presence, we have kept up with creating a professional, distinctive way to look at The Plantation Shop.”
Wilson’s mother Bonnie originally opened the store as a home accessories and gift shop over 46-years ago. “The Plantation Shop is considered to be an island tradition,” states Wilson. “Customers tell us the first place they visit when they come to Amelia Island is the Plantation Shop, and they return again and again to shop for fine furniture and home décor.

We work very closely with all our English dealers to ensure that each piece is refinished and presents itself just as it was originally intended…..From early mornings at International antique fairs to visits with long time dealers..it’s all about relationships and the passion for the antiques with tons of fun mixed in to each trip!
